Johnny Appleseed (real name: John Chapman) was born on September 26, 1774, before the United States was a country. He would have been 245 years old this year. Mr. Dan from the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District will be at the Library to tell us all about the man who planted most of the apples in Ohio and other states. All ages are invited to join us for this special celebration! (Replaces Read & Play this week.)
