Pillowcase Project: disaster prep for kids

This interactive program is open to kids in grades 2-5.  It came about when local leaders learned that college students carried their valuables in pillowcases when they were evacuated for Hurricane Katrina.  Participants will learn safety skills, home fire prevention, age-appropriate coping skills, and will complete an art project that includes designing their own pillowcase.  Presented by the Red Cross.  At the main library.  Call youth services at 419-228-5113 ext.121 for additional information.
