For library users who like to plan their trips to the library, please note that our Spencerville Branch will be closed the week of November 14 for new carpet installation. But all other LPL locations will be open, so feel free to visit!
Bath/UNOH grad Brian Williams will sell signed copies of his book, Safe Thus Far: My Testimony, at the main library on Saturday, October 8, from 11 AM - 1 PM. He'll be at a table on the main floor.
You're invited to attend our Rockin' Pirate Magic Show, featuring entertainer Erica Carlson and her hedgehog Sdedgewick, on Thursday, September 15, in the library auditorium. This free show is the kickoff event for our new 1000 Books Before Kindergarten literacy program for children. All ages are invited.

We are excited to announce that author, and Lima Lantern Tour Guide, James Willis will be at the library on Saturday, September 17th at 2pm to explore all of Ohio's oddities. Join us on a state-wide road trip to discover weird, spooky, and unexplainable tales from our state. Mr.
Lima Public Library and Guiding Ohio Online is currently looking for a flexible, caring individual committed to community service to hire part-time for an 11 month term of service as an AmeriCorps member to begin service in September.The AmeriCorps member will deliver digital literacy training through computer classes, one-on-one computer assistance, outreach, and volunteer recruitment for the library.

Summer Reading has begun at the Lima Public Library. Our Summer Reading Program for kids, teens, and adults will be held through July 31, 2016!
How do you participate?
Kids & Teens: Sign up at the Youth Services desk to participate in the program and receive a free book. Then, READ all summer long for your chance to win great prizes!
While the Memorial Book Room is being renovated, the Crochet Along group will meet in another location, still to be determined, from 6-7:30 PM on the third Tuesday of the month.
Dr. Khalid el-Hakim brings a collection of over 7,000 artifacts from the trans-Atlantic slave trade era through today. Registration to view the exhibit is required, please call 419-228-5113. This program is sponsored by the Lima Library Association.
