RAD (Rape Agression Defense)Women's Self Defense Course is a women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while primarily concentrating on the basics of hands-on self defense training, specifically customized for women. The course is for any woman 13 years of age or older.
Sessions take place in the library's basement auditorium, starting Monday, October 6 and ending Monday, Nobvember 17.
Dates are: October 6 (5-7:30 p.m.); October 13 (5-7:30 p.m.); October 20 and 27 (5-7 p.m.) and November 3, 10 and 17 (5-7 p.m.)
There is no fee for the course, except for a pledge to carry out a RAD Act of Kindness before the completion of the session.
