We will be discussing The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, which tells the incredible story of Henrietta Lacks, the genetic samples that were taken from her in the 1950s, and how scientists have used these cells for decades to create multiple vaccines and disease treatments, all without her permission or compensation. From highly researched scientific studies to interviews with successful introverts, Cain’s book shows us the differences between introverts and extroverts, the way American culture devalues introverts, and the unique contributions introverts can make in business and society.
